California Concentrate
Company has been in the business of producing varietal grape juices and
juice concentrates for the international winemaking community since 1970.
In the early 1980s, the company also began producing a line of pure malt
extracts under the label Alexander's Sun Country malt extracts.
These extracts are available in a variety malt types,
including pale, wheat, amber, dark, Dutch lager, and nut brown. All
are derived from two-row grains malted by Great Western Malting Company
(Vancouver, Washington) and Briess Malting Company (Chilton, Wisconsin)
and processed at California Concentrate Company's facilities in Acampo,
California, using low-temperature evaporation. No additives or preservatives
are added.
Sun Country extracts are available in 4-lb cans,
5-gal pails, 15-gal pails, and 55-gal drums. California Concentrate
also regularly custom manufactures and packages products for various
companies around the country and is a broker for Briess's specialty
malts.
